How to become a co-op member
Updated 2 months ago
Join as a co-op member online, in S-mobiili, or at a service point. You only pay a one-time membership fee of 100 euros at once or in instalments, and there is no joining fee. You get the membership fee back if you end your membership.
How do I become a co-op member and get an S-Etukortti?
You can become a co-op member in three ways:
Download S-mobiili for the first time
Visit a Service and bank point
You get an S-Etukortti when you join. There is no joining fee. You only pay the membership fee (100 €) to your co-op.
Membership fee:
All at once: 100 €
Or in instalments: at least 20 € immediately, the rest according to your co-op's rules (usually 24 months)
The membership fee is an investment: you get it back if you end your co-op membership.
Good to know:
Be prepared to prove your identity
You can also get an S-Etukortti without your own co-op membership: it's enough that you belong to a co-op member's household
Who can join as a co-op member online?
You can join online if you meet these requirements:
You are of legal age (18 years or older)
You have a Finnish personal identity code
You have a permanent address in Finland
You do not have an active co-op membership
You have bank credentials or mobile certificate for identification and paying the membership fee
