Co-op household management, leaving, and changes
Updated 5 months ago
The primary member of a co-op household can remove members from their household on the S-Etukortti.fi website, and an added person can also leave the household themselves. Leaving does not automatically end S-Bank services, but co-op membership benefits end. This also means that S-Bank daily services become subject to fees.
How do I remove someone from my household?
As the primary member of your co-op household, you can remove a person from your household in S-mobiili or on S-Etukortti.fi.
Remember to inform the person you are removing that their access to S-Etukortti and other co-op member benefits has ended.
What happens to Bonus when someone leaves the household?
The household's cashback level is based on the combined purchases of all members. When a household member leaves, their purchases no longer contribute to the household's cashback pot. Bonus already earned is paid normally to the primary member's S-Tili Account on the 10th of the following month. The removed person's purchases are counted up until they were a member of the household.
Can I move to another household?
Yes. First leave your current household (or ask the primary member to remove you). After that, the primary member of another household can invite you to their household.
Moving does not require paying a membership fee, because you do not need to be a co-op member yourself to belong to a co-op household.
How many people can belong to a household?
There is no limit to the number of people in a co-op household. In addition to the co-op member (primary member), the household can include adults living in the same household and underage children.
What happens to S-Bank services when I leave the household?
Leaving a co-op household does not automatically close S-Bank products and services, but the co-op member benefits from them end. Note in particular:
S-Etukortti Visa payment card no longer earns card payment cashback
S-Bank daily services (accounts and cards) become subject to fees
