How can we help?

Household management: leaving and changes

Updated 2 months ago

As the main member of a co-op household, you can remove members from your household at S-Etukortti.fi, and linked persons can also leave on their own. Leaving does not automatically end S-Bank services, but co-op member benefits will end.

How do I remove a person from my co-op household?

As the main member of your co-op household, you can remove a person from your household in the online service.

Remember to inform the person you are removing that their access to S-Etukortti and other co-op member benefits has ended.

How do I leave a co-op household myself?

As a person linked to a co-op household, you can leave the household yourself:

What happens to Bonus when someone leaves the household?

The household's cashback level is based on the combined purchases of all members. When a member leaves, their purchases no longer contribute to the household's cashback pot, so the cashback level may decrease.

Bonus already earned will be paid normally to the main member's S-Tili Account on the 10th of the following month. The purchases made by the person who left will count until they were a member of the household.

Can I move to another co-op household?

Yes. First leave your current household (or ask the main member to remove you). After that, the main member of another household can invite you to their household normally.

Transferring does not require a new membership fee, because you do not need to be a co-op member yourself to belong to a co-op household.

If you are a co-op member yourself (main member) and want to move to another household, you must first end your own co-op membership.

How many members can a household have?

There is no limit to the number of members in a co-op household. The household can include the co-op member (main member) as well as adults and underage children living in the same household.

What happens to S-Bank products when I leave the household?

Leaving a co-op household does not automatically end S-Bank products and services, but co-op member benefits from them will end. Please note in particular:

  • S-Etukortti Visa payment card no longer earns card payment cashback

  • Your S-Bank account may become subject to fees if you no longer belong to a co-op household

  • End any access rights to the account and payment cards linked to the account separately
