Using S-mobiili abroad

Can I download or update S-mobiili abroad?

S-Pankki has restricted S-mobiili downloads and updates abroad to prevent misuse.

1. Country restrictions for downloading S-mobiili:

You can download S-mobiili as a new app only:

• When your phone's Country setting is Finland (incl. Åland)

• When you are physically in Finland

2. Country restrictions for S-mobiili updates:

You can update your S-mobiili app version when your phone's Country setting is:

• Finland

• Sweden

• Estonia

You can update the app even when you are abroad, as long as you change your phone's country setting to one of these countries.

Changing your country region in the app store:

iOS (App Store):

1. Open the App Store

2. Select Account

3. Select yourself

4. Select Country/Region

5. Select Change Country or Region

6. Select Finland (select the country that matches your payment method's billing address)

Android (Play Store):

1. Open the Google Play Store app

2. Select your Profile icon

3. Select Settings > General > Account and device preferences > Country and profiles

4. Select the country where you want to add your account

5. Add a payment method for that country by following the on-screen instructions
