Getting started with S-mobiili and device requirements

How do I start using S-mobiili?

Download S-mobiili from your phone's app store.

• Android: Google Play

• iPhone: App Store

What you need:

• Online banking credentials from S-Bank or another bank for first sign-in

• Co-op membership or membership in a co-op household

• Phone number for SMS verification

When you start using S-mobiili with S-Bank credentials, you verify your phone number by SMS. If your phone number is missing from your customer details, add it in S-Bank online banking or at a service point. After your first sign-in, you get S-mobiili authentication. Use it to sign in with your fingerprint, a PIN you choose, or Face ID (on iOS devices with face recognition).

You can also earn Bonus with your phone: in Apple Wallet, with Android contactless, or with the barcode in S-mobiili.

Which devices can I use S-mobiili on?

You can use S-mobiili on iPhone and Android smartphones. Make sure your device has a recent enough operating system.

Required operating systems:

• iOS 15 or newer

• Android 9.0 or newer

NOTE! For security reasons, support for these older operating system versions will end soon. If you use an older operating system than iOS 16.6 or Android 10.0, you will soon no longer be able to update S-mobiili to a new version.

To update S-mobiili to a newer version after October 2026, your device's operating system must be:

• iOS 16.6 or newer

• Android 10.0 or newer

How do I check my phone's operating system version?

Android:

1. Open Settings

2. Scroll down and select About phone (or Phone information)

3. Find Android version – you will see your operating system version there

4. Check for updates: System > System update

iPhone (iOS):

1. Open Settings

2. Select General > About

3. Under iOS version you will see your operating system version

4. Check for updates: General > Software Update

How do I check the S-mobiili app version?

1. Open the S-mobiili app

2. Tap the Me button in the bottom right corner

3. Scroll down to About the app

4. You will see the app version number

If your app is not up to date, update it in Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone).

I changed my phone, how do I start using S-mobiili on my new phone?

Download S-mobiili from the app store and register as a user. Set it up the same way you did on your old device.

Good to know:

• You can be registered in S-mobiili on multiple devices

• There is no limit to the number of S-mobiili devices

If you start using S-mobiili with S-Bank credentials on another device, remove unnecessary devices after setup: Me > Authentication > Remove from use
