Bonus problems and excluded products

Cashback not showing in your account? Check your membership fee status, household primary membership, and the account set for payments. You do not earn Bonus on all products. For example, tobacco, alcohol, and gift cards do not earn Bonus.

My purchases don't show in my cashback

Bonus appears in the current month's cashback balance the day after your purchase. Some payments, such as hotel rooms, may take a few days to appear. The same applies to purchases made at Bonus partners.

LähiTapiola Bonus doesn't show

Insurance premiums paid to LähiTapiola by the 20th of the month count towards that month's cashback. Payments made later (21st–31st) are credited to the following month.

No Bonus has been paid to my account – where has it gone?

Check these things:

1. Membership fee status

  • Has your 100 € membership fee been paid in full?

  • If only partially paid, the rest is collected from your Bonus

  • Once the membership fee is paid in full, Bonus is paid as money to your S-Tili Account at S-Bank

  • Check and pay in full in the online service

2. Primary member of the household

  • Are you the primary member of your household?

  • If you earn Bonus for another person, Bonus is paid to their account

3. Benefits payment account

  • Check in S-mobiili or S-Bank online banking that your S-Tili Account is set as your benefits payment account

Which products don't earn Bonus?

You don't earn Bonus on the following purchases:

  • Tobacco products

  • Alcohol

  • S Group gift card purchases (you earn Bonus when you pay with a gift card)

  • Business purchases (Bonus is for individuals only)

  • Invoiced purchases and contract-priced products

  • Tax-free purchases at S Group locations

  • Gambling and lottery tickets

  • Intermediary products, such as cinema tickets, game vouchers, etc.

  • Bottle returns (the deposit is already included at the time of purchase)

Why don't I earn Bonus on bottle returns?

Bonus is earned on paid purchases, i.e. the final total on your receipt.

Here's how it works:

  1. You buy bottles → you pay the deposit → the bottle deposit counts as a Bonus purchase

  2. You return bottles → you get the deposit back → the deposit is deducted from your purchase total

Can I get Bonus retrospectively if I forgot my S-Etukortti?

Stores are not obliged to add purchases to your cashback balance retrospectively.

How to make sure you earn Bonus:

If your physical card is in poor condition:

  • Order a new one: sign in to the online service or in the Me section of S-mobiili

  • Visit a Service and bank point → you'll get a temporary card immediately
