Bonus problems and excluded products

Bonus not showing on your account? Check your membership fee status, household main member status, and benefits payment account. Bonus doesn't accrue on all products, for example tobacco, alcohol, and gift cards are excluded.

I haven't earned any Bonus. Where has it gone?

Check these things:

1. Membership fee status

  • Have you paid your 100 € membership fee in full?

  • If you've paid only part of it, the rest is collected from your Bonus

  • Once you pay your membership fee in full, Bonus transfers to your benefits payment account at S-Bank

  • Check and pay in full in the online service

2. Household main member status

  • Are you the main member of your household?

  • If you're earning Bonus for another person, the Bonus transfers to their account

3. Benefits payment account

  • Make sure in S-mobiili or S-Bank's online banking that your S-Tili Account is set as your benefits payment account

Which products don't earn Bonus?

You don't earn Bonus on these:

General exclusions

  • Business purchases (Bonus is for individuals only)

  • Invoiced purchases and contract-priced products

  • Tax-free purchases at S Group locations

  • Intermediated products (e.g. lottery tickets and scratch cards)

  • Tobacco products

  • Alcohol

  • Purchasing S Group gift cards (you earn Bonus when you pay for purchases with a gift card)

  • Bottle returns (the deposit is already included as a purchase when you buy the bottles)

Why don't I earn Bonus on bottle returns?

You earn Bonus on paid purchases, the final total on your receipt.

Here's how it works:

  1. You buy bottles → you pay the deposit → the bottle deposit counts as a bonus-eligible purchase

  2. You return the bottles → you get the deposit back → the deposit is deducted from your purchase total

Can I get Bonus retroactively if I forgot my S-Etukortti when shopping?

Stores have no obligation to add purchases to your bonus purchase accumulation after the fact.

Here's how to ensure you earn Bonus:

If your cash card is in poor condition:

  • Order a new one: sign in to the online service or in S-mobiili's Profile section

  • Visit a Service and bank point → you'll get a temporary cash card to take with you immediately
